Martial arts hold a predisposition of limitless change in that you are never defined by a single level or type of skill. Though correct training we can allow ourselves to transform our uncoordinated actions in the face of danger.  Martial arts helps to prepare the body for that moment. Furthermore, martial arts can create a blended mind/body strategy that will enable one to function in an environment where danger is unknown and unseen. The body is taught to deal with change and to become very aware of the subtle changes that happen in the environment.

Think of life as being full of energy, as active and waiting for events to come together. Like the beginning of a thunderstorm when the ground, clouds, air, and winds are all playing a role in making the storm. The lighting has not happened yet, but because all the things are present there is a high potential of it happening.

One must also train the body to move freely, without any hesitations or blocks, and to react to change within change. The main point of martial arts is to give a person freedom to move through space, time and in any direction. You must not limit yourself to a fixed idea the world, but rather, understand that change is the only thing in nature that we can count on. Change and growth work hand in hand in martial arts. Without this understanding we will be locked into the fear of losing skills and moreover we will be intimidated by the world around us.

How can we make our lives full of active potential? When the right thing happens we can get just what we need. How can we arrange lives so we can get what we want? We can start by training in the martial art Ninpo taijutsu this unique method of training can help us experience this on a very physical level at first lead us to higher levels of personal understanding and growth with in our life.

Use the martial art of Ninpo Taijutsu to open yourself to change and make yourself and the world around you a better place each day.

I was working on kenjutsu last week and was moving with my training partner changing kamae (position based on what my spirit is sensing in relation to a changing environment). This requires the mind and body to stay sharp, because if your mind floats for one moment you could be in over your head. A good starting place on how not to get in over your head is “Stay in the moment, not before or after.”

The longer we train in martial arts, the deeper we come to understand ourselves. This deep understanding comes from first training with the physical techniques and then studying the effect the training has on us. If you train with a sincere heart, you can gain great value from martial arts.
