Martial Arts and the Mind/Body connection

Self Defense at Boston Martial Arts Center

When I first started to study martial arts, I was often frustrated with my lack of progress. I thought I was moving naturally within the context of the training, but in reality my movements were random, I was making a lot of mistakes. I was able to turn around my progress when I learned to integrated my mind and body within the strategy of martial arts. I started to make less mistakes, and to have deeper, more personal realizations in my training.

I want to share some of these breakthroughs in a series of seminars and workshops in the coming years. To start the series, we will explore how the mind and body work together in martial arts training and in daily life. We will explore how some blocks can limit our ability to grow. You will use the tools of your mind and body to find deeper possibilities within yourself. We will use the martial arts methods of Gyokko Ryu Koshijutsu and Koto Ryu koppojutsu.
